In 2014 the BCI Foundation Committee revised the seminary tuition scholarship fund to better enable members of BCI affiliated churches to prepare for ministry. We want to do everything we can do to develop ministers who are involved in BCI affiliated churches to reach Iowa and beyond.

A scholarship of $500 per semester for up to four semesters is offered for full-time master’s level seminary students who are preparing for a “full-time” ministry position. Since the changes in the fund were made, forty-four students have received scholarship funds.

Of the forty-four students, thirty-three are currently serving on a BCI affiliated church staff, three are preparing to be part of a new church start this fall, four are involved in other ministries in Iowa, and four currently do not have a “professional” ministry position.

The BCI seminary tuition scholarship is funded in part by the annual Hyde Iowa Missions Offering normally collected each September.
