On Sunday afternoon April 6, the Calvary Baptist Church family in Indianola celebrated the 30th anniversary of assembling in their church building. More than 50 people gathered (including former pastors and their spouses) to share memories of God’s mighty deeds in providing the facility in which the church now worships. A partnership with First Baptist Raytown, Missouri was instrumental in the church’s completion. Stories of church gatherings in several places throughout Indianola before the building’s construction were shared, as well as stories of changed hearts and changed lives throughout the years.

Several former pastors and spouses, associate pastors and interim pastors told of their experiences in serving Christ at Calvary. These included: current pastor and wife John and Amy Jakes, Richard and Betty Lamborn, Claude and Irene McFerron, Mike and Shari Carlson, and Troy and Sherry Fiscella.
