On Sunday evening, November 24th 2013, Iglesia Bautista Cristo Vive (Christ Lives Baptist Church) of Des Moines was constituted as an autonomous local church. Pastor Arnaldo Achucarro shared a brief history of the church’s origin at the event. John Smith from the partnering church, Living Hope Community Church, recommended that Cristo Vive constitute. A crowd of 65 people attended the service at which John Shaull, Associational Missionary, spoke from I Thessalonians 5 on what makes a great church. Members from the Hispanic church in Ottumwa also participated in this special occasion.
