Ed Gregory will join the BCI staff as a part-time staff member on August 1. As many of you know, Ed has been a long time pastor in Iowa, serving at Immanuel Baptist Church in Cedar Rapids (1982-1999), as a former BCI associate executive director (1999-2004), and more recently Ed has served as the pastor at First Baptist Church of Anchorage, Alaska (2004-2014). Ed and his wife Cynthia have been married forty-four years and have four children and fourteen grandchildren. They have recently moved from Alaska to Ankeny, Iowa. Ed and Cynthia have vast ministry experience and a love of the people of Iowa.
Ed will join the BCI staff in order to strengthen BCI’s support of churches and their pastors across the state. The BCI is actively responding to the plea of BCI churches to shore up staff to support existing churches as well as plant new churches. Ed will meet with pastors and other leaders to give encouragement, prayer, counsel, and other support. Ed’s vast ministry experience will be a huge add to the BCI team and beginning today! Ed’s willingness to serve will be a real blessing to the people of Iowa.
