Freedom For YouthFreedom for Youth Ministries (founded in Des Moines in 2003), exists to empower youth across Iowa through the love of Jesus Christ to break bondages, discover their God-given talents, and lead transformed lives. They aspire to unite the Christian community to reach out to youth in Iowa and to empower believers to demonstrate their love for Jesus through sharing their time and talents with the youth they serve. Their programs help youth stay in school, learn life skills, prepare for the workplace, and develop healthy relationships. Freedom Youth Ministries programs include tutoring, after-school activities, meals, job training, and residential services for post-high school students—all centered on the message of Jesus Christ’s saving grace.

In Winterset, IA, Freedom Youth Ministries doors are open to students three days per week, and serve approximately 75 students each week. The Freedom for Youth Winterset center offers programing for K-12th grade students, free of charge to children and families. In addition to weekly programming, they offer many special events throughout the year to open our doors to more hurting children and youth. Through tutoring, Christ-centered Bible time, and a hot meal, our students are equipped, discipled, and shepherded in the areas of faith, education, employment, and leadership. At Freedom for Youth, young people find a safe place where they can learn and grow, and find support for their often difficult lives.
