Earthquake survivors in Nepal are trying to survive the disaster’s aftermath and are struggling to find food and shelter. Moved by their plight, state Southern Baptist disaster relief organizations from California and Texas have “adopted” affected districts and are partnering with BGR to help residents rebuild. California’s organization has adopted the Gorkha District while the organization from Texas has adopted the Sindhupalchok District. $50,000 in resources has been allocated to each district to repair structures such as schools, homes and water systems and to buy items such as hygiene kits. Both organizations have sent teams to their districts, and recovery efforts are underway!
