As I was attending our annual BCI meeting the Lord prompted me to ask for Southern Baptists across the state to pray for us on the Executive Director/Treasurer Search Team.  We met for about six hours on November 1 to prayerfully go through the resumes that have been submitted.  All of us on the Search Team realized we desperately need your prayers.  There are some things I would like all of you to pray for specifically.  Please pray:

  • That God would lead the Search Team to the man He has chosen, and that God would make it perfectly clear to each of us.
  • That Southern Baptist in Iowa will know that this is the man God has called to serve and lead us.
  • That Southern Baptists across the state will love, support and follow the man that God has chosen.
  • That God gives our new Director a clear vision and direction for the future, and that Iowans will see the vision and faithfully follow.
  • That God uses our Executive Director to wisely lead us so that God’s will is done and that His kingdom comes as we grow in unity of heart and mind for the glory of God.
