What is most important now for your church?

As a pastor or key leader in a church, your mission is simple: to make disciples. But, if you’re like many church leaders, you feel like you spend most of your time putting out fires and managing day to day ministry. As you look back over the last year of ministry, do you feel tired from all your efforts but aren’t quite sure what you’ve accomplished?

That’s why we are excited to offer StratOp, a guided process to give your local church a fresh perspective on where you are now, where you are heading, and what’s important now to fulfill God’s desire for your church family.

What is StratOp?

StratOp (Strategy and Operations) is a 3-day guided process facilitated by BCI Executive Director, Tim Lubinus. Tim is certified to facilitate StratOp for Churches through the Paterson Center.

 .

What will StratOp do for my church?

The objectives of StratOp are to:

  • Give you perspective on all of the strategic, financial, and operational parts of your church.
  • Help you know where you stand.
  • Clarify where you should go.
  • Give you a customized plan on how to get there.

What happens during a StratOp?

Over three days, we will use 25 customized tools to guide your team into the six phases of the StratOp process:

How much does it cost?

  1. Option 1: Premium: Three-day initial meeting, plus one-day follow-up 4-6 weeks later, plus twelve months of coaching for implementation, plus two-day LifePlan for pastor, plus follow-up to review church website/communications, and local outreach systems: $6000, BCI will return $3000 at next outreach event.
  2. Option 2: Standard: Two-day initial meeting, plus one-day follow-up 4-6 weeks later, plus one follow-up call, plus two-day LifePlan for pastor: $1500.

What if we can’t afford the time?

  • The investment of a few days should be quickly returned through the church’s increased efficiency and ministry focus.

What if we can’t afford the price?

  • It’s more likely that you can’t afford to not do the StratOp! Increased clarity and ministry focus should help the church to add new members and encourage existing members to be more committed to the ministry. Both of these increases should earn back the StratOp costs within a few months. The prices above are highly subsidized by the BCI. Normal cost of StartOp is more than $8000 and LifePlan is $2500.

What if this isn’t a good time for our church?

  • Then it is okay to delay the StratOp. However, each day the church moves forward without clarity may be a step in the wrong direction.

What’s the next step?

  • Schedule a time to discuss StratOp with Tim Lubinus by phone at (515) 408-0975 or by email at TLubinus@bciowa.org.
