BCI is pleased to announce that Kari Minter has joined our team as the Planter Spouse Care Advocate. Kari will work alongside Chase Abner and our church planting team with a focus on supporting planters’ wives and developing them as leaders for their unique role in our mission to reach Iowans for Christ.
“Kari is a godly woman and a sharp leader. She is passionate about connecting women to one another as they follow Jesus and serve his mission,’ Chase Abner said. “I particularly appreciate her view that a planter’s wife is not simply an accessory to the work, but an influential player in the health of her home and the church plant.”
Kari was born in Iowa and earned her teaching degree from University of Northern Iowa in 2001. She then moved to San Antonio, TX where she met and married Brent. They have been in ministry together for the past 15 years. They live in Ankeny, Iowa where Brent is the lead pastor of Keystone Church, and Kari helps lead the women’s ministry for the church and is a part-time substitute teacher. Kari loves hanging out and raising their three children ages 12, 11, and 9. She enjoys helping women know, receive, and connect with God in new and creative ways. She often writes about her relationship with God on her website – kariminter.com.
