DESCRIPTION:BALANCING FAMILY LIFE AND MINISTRY IN A BI-VOCATIONAL WORLD\nFriday & Saturday\, September 6th-7th | Hotel Renovo \nBCI’s first Bi-Vocational Pastors Retreat was held last September and was a great success. Being a bi-vocational pastor presents many joys as well as many challenges. It is important to have time set aside to be encouraged\, strengthened and challenged by others who really understand your unique ministry experience. \nEVENT LOCATION \nHotel Renovo\n11167 Hickman Rd.\nUrbandale\, IA 50322 \nCOST \n$25 per couple (includes hotel room and all meals) \nREGISTRATION \nBi-Vocational Pastors in BCI can email Ed Gregory (Eastern Iowa) or Chris McRae (Western Iowa) for information on registration. \nGUEST SPEAKER \nOur 2019 guest speaker will be Dr. Joe E. Wright\, Jr. the Executive Director of the Bivocational & Small Church Leadership Network. Joe and his wife Pennie will be a great encouragement and resource for our pastors and wives as they share from their extensive experience in both ministry and non-ministry work. \nGUEST SPEAKER BIO \nJoe & Pennie Wright have only been married a short time due to each suffering devastating losses of their mates after long and fruitful marriages.  Both come from ministerial backgrounds with Joe having served as Pastor of four churches and 18 years as a Director of Missions and Pennie serving as a Pastor’s wife for 32 years as well as being a Registered Nurse and Registered Respiratory Therapist.  Joe recently became Executive Director of the Bi-Vocational & Small Church Leadership Network.  They have a heart for ministers and their families; especially\, for those from small churches.  They have dedicated themselves to the service of helping small churches achieve greatness through healthy leadership and obedient faithfulness.  They have two sons and three daughters\, all of whom have presented them with 11 grandchildren\, one on the way and hopefully\, just a few more!  They love the outdoors and to travel but even more\, they love to visit in small churches and worship with God’s wonderful families of faith located all across our blessed nation.
