I read a concerning article in Leadership Journal entitled “Hard Job, High Calling”.
Being a pastor can be a daunting job.
  • On call 24 hours a day.
  • Conflict in the church
  • A job description that does not fit
  • High demands
  • Long work weeks
  • Little margin
  • Health issues
  • Not enough time for family
  • Dissatisfaction in ministry
  • Knowing there is something “more” than you are presently experiencing
I expect that at least one of these bullet points hit you squarely in the heart. I know, because many hit me as well. I walked your path, serving as a pastor for 16 years.
The question is what are you doing to be the most effective pastor you can be? Are you being intentional in your personal life, with your family, with you time with God? Are you in the position God wants you to be?
Do you have a deep understanding of who you are, whom God created you to be? Have you taken the time to explore what God has done in you and through you? Do you have a clear plan moving forward?
These are some of the benefits of a LifePlan.
I went through my LifePlan two and a half years ago. It was a life-changer. I now have a better understanding of who I am and who God created me to be. I have a clarity in my vision as I am seeking to live out my talents and heart. I am confident I am doing what God wants me to do – living a life that is true to myself and honoring my family.
You can have this as well. A LifePlan can help you get there.
