Did you know that it is perfectly legal to host a Bible study that is open to the public in Iowa public schools? Southern Hills Baptist Church in Sioux City holds a weekly Good New Club in a local school as a local chapter of Child Evangelism Fellowship of Iowa.
The Good News Club is a weekly Bible study for elementary age kids with the goal of sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ. BCI provided an Evangelism Grant to Southern Hills Baptist for the Good News Club which allowed them to print t-shirts for the students. About 2 dozen of the regular Club members were extremely excited to receive their shirt and they put them on immediately.
What is Child Evangelism Fellowship?
Child Evangelism Fellowship (CEF) is an international ministry that has been sharing the gospel with children around the world for over 80 years. CEF President Reese Kauffman says, “The fact that a young child can comprehend the simple message of salvation and become a child of God is the foundational principle of CEF. Everything else we do is based upon this fact.”
