In the fall, Aubry was trying to get the most out of her college experience… or at least the version she had seen in the movies. She made some poor decisions about partying, boys, and school work. Before long, she was at a very low point.
While home in Illinois for winter break, one of Aubry’s high school friends met her and shared his testimony with her. She began attending church services with him and she began suspecting that God was the thing that she needed in her life after she’d made a mess of her first semester at Iowa State.
Upon returning to ISU for the spring semester, Aubry reached out to the Salt Company through our website and asked about getting connected. One of our staff members met with her and suggested she visit one of our Connection Groups. Aubry later admitted that she was terrified. She’d never been to a “bible study” and was worried because she didn’t know what to wear. However, after her first visit, she felt at home and signed up to attend our spring conference that very night!
At the spring conference, Aubry heard the gospel again and was finally ready to believe and turn her life over to Jesus. She’s since made a complete turn in her life. Grades are going great. She’s joining Salt Company leadership next fall and is praying for her sorority sisters to see in her what Christ has done.
