Resonate Youth Camp kicked off last week at Grandview University in Des Moines. It was a time of extreme fun and hands-on experience of being “on mission” with God. The week-long event for middle school and high school students combines relevant and inspiring times of worship, Bible study, and teaching times with practical opportunities to participate in community service and gospel ministry projects throughout the city.

Students got a taste of campus life as they stayed in the university dorms and ate at the university cafeteria. Each morning, camp leaders lead the students through guided devotions. Morning Bible teachings on the book of Jonah were presented by Cole Deike, Lead Pastor of Frontier Church in Des Moines. After lunch, students headed out into the city to put into practice what they were learning through serving at a different ministry each day. Each evening, keynote teachings were brought by guest speaker Chris Davis, Pastor of Discipleship at Resurrection Church in Bakersfield, California. The students enjoyed connecting with Chris during the many game and activity times. Chris’ teachings were presented in a way that youth felt they could understand and relate to.

Most importantly, these students grew in their faith and built up their trust in Christ and we pray that these lessons and experiences will resonate for a lifetime.
