The Midwest has its own culture and worldview, and for Baptists in the region, its own spiritual challenges. This year our triennial gathering, the North Central States Rally, becomes the Midwest Leadership Summit. The region is expanded – and so is the conference – but our focus is sharper than ever: How to be effective Southern Baptists in northern states.
The Midwest Leadership Summit brings together pastors, church planters, and other leaders from Southern Baptist churches all over our region. In addition to three inspirational worship gatherings, more than 100 conferences and breakout sessions will be offered by national experts and effective church practitioners from Midwest churches.
Leaders come hungry and leave encouraged that they are not alone. The sharing of ideas and experiences among other Southern Baptist church leaders in the Midwest makes us all stronger. Leaders return home refreshed for ministry in their local context, and the advance of the Gospel is accelerated. The Midwest Leadership Summit is provided through a financial and planning partnership between ten Baptist State Conventions and three national SBC entities.
