Gospel Outreach through Service
As Back-To-School season approaches, emotions range from excitement to apprehension among children. While some eagerly anticipate new lessons, others face the worry of not having essential supplies on their lists, leading to feelings of inadequacy.
For mosaic church, a BCI-affiliated church planted a few years ago in Marshalltown, their faith in Jesus fuels their commitment to serve the local community and its students.
Mosaic has joined forces again this year with Dylan Schumacher, one individual who understands the struggle all too well. Dylan, having experienced the challenges of not having those supplies during his own childhood, decided it was time to give back. Over the past three years, he initiated a remarkable drive to support students in need.
Together, they set their sights on packing 800 backpacks this year to give to needy kids in their city. This is 300 more backpacks than last year, but they recognize it’s still just a fraction of the growing need within their community. They see this mission as a way to bring the love of Jesus to life by addressing real needs in their town. Every little bit helps, and together, they aim to expand their impact and bring more love and support to the students of Marshalltown.
