For the twelve-month period ending June 30, 2015, BCI churches gave nineteen percent more than the twelve-month period ending June 30, 2014.
We boldly increased our funding for national and international missions through the cooperative program by increasing our giving from twenty percent to fifty percent beginning January 1, 2015. We are seeing that churches are responding by giving generously.
Looking at the numbers more carefully we notice that eighteen churches gave at least $1000 more this year than last year and twenty churches gave at least 100% more this year than last year.
We also note the declines in giving as possible indicators of a church that may be in stress or having relationship issues with the BCI or SBC. We had seven churches that gave at least $1000 less this year than last.
In all this was a very positive report. Good work Iowa Baptists!
