Crossroads Community Church of Red Oak Iowa has had a busy summer of outreach. They participated in their local town celebration, Junction Days. They were only one of two churches in the parade and the only church in the square Friday night and Saturday handing out bottled water, promoting their “Submerged” Vacation Bible School (VBS), praying in the park and talking to people about Jesus.

They had a mission team from Utopia Baptist Church help them with the VBS where they had 2 decisions for Christ. While the mission team was here they also did some beautification to the Red Oak Good Samaritan Nursing Home campus in preparation for Good Sam’s 50 year anniversary. They handed out a gift and prayed with every resident. One decision for Christ was made at the nursing home.
A couple of weeks later a mission team from North Nixa Baptist Church in Nixa, MO came and assisted Crossroads with their Montgomery County Fair outreach. Crossroads was the only church participating in the fair where they gave away a 32” flat screen television and Blu-Ray player. Two hundred and twenty people heard about Jesus and 3 decisions for Christ were made.
In August Crossroads, known for their movie theater outreach ministry, sponsored the movie God’s Not Dead 2  at the Red Oak Grand Theater with the financial assistance of the Baptist Convention of Iowa. Four hundred forty three were able people to see this powerful movie for free through this outreach event. Later that same week they did a fundraiser event at the local Pizza Ranch.
Their next big event is National Back to Church Sunday where they will have a bounce house and free grilled food after service.
