Iowa Campers on Mission worked at Wilton Baptist Church in Wilton Iowa from September 8th-12th. The fellowship and meals provided every night by Wilton Baptist Church was greatly appreciated.
A total of twelve people worked on the Wilton project, including three couples from Missouri Camper’s On Mission. We were very happy to welcome Dave Short as new member of our Iowa group. President Pete Brent and Ty Berry were also able to join us for part of the week.
There was a shed built, pews anchored, cupboards were stained and varnished, then added in the kitchen, doors and walls were painted, and many other things were accomplished.
Bev Davis exclaimed, “What a great week of work and fellowship with godly people. Even with all the rain and cool weather everything was finished! Thank you Lord.”
Campers on Mission are a dedicated group of volunteers who can minister with your own church. COM is willing to do repairs and upkeep on your building. This ministry can assist many of our churches and help cut expensive building repair cost.
COM President Pete Brent said, “If a church will provide us a place to park our campers for up to five days, a 30 AMP outlet, material, and maybe some meals during the week, we will do the work.”
