BCI College Ministries Engage 12,000 Students and See 320 Professions of Faith

Recently compiled statistics show 320 college students made professions of faith in Christ through BCI-affiliated college ministries during the 2023-2024 school year. The report also shows that these college ministries engaged over 12,000 students in outreach during that same time frame.

Chase Abner, who is the director of Send Network Iowa and serves as a college ministry consultant for BCI, collected the data from college ministry leaders in BCI churches as part of a national project tracking the impact of Southern Baptist collegiate ministry. “We have a lot to be thankful for in Iowa. God continues to bless and strengthen our churches who prioritize reaching the next generation on college and university campuses,” said Abner.

In partnership with the North American Mission Board, BCI provides financial support for college ministry kickoff events each fall, as well as funds for churches who are starting international student ministries.
