The group began their journey hoping to do Backyard Bible clubs and house painting. God had other plans. The church planter they were working with, Ruben Calderon, had been feeling God’s leading for some time to plant a church in the nearby village of Cotacucho. So, the house painting turned into flyer distribution and an evangelistic service.
Each day of the Backyard Bible Club they saw around 30 children and their mothers. At theWednesday service 48 people came to hear the gospel. God moved in the hearts of 25 of them to come and receive Christ. They chose on the spot to begin a church together and start Saturday.
God was good! As His Word promises, He did more than the team could have asked or imagined.
