ABOUT THE CHURCH EQUIPPING GRANT PROGRAM
The Baptist Convention of Iowa (BCI) is excited to introduce the Church Equipping Grant Program. This initiative is designed to empower BCI-affiliated churches by investing in the equipping and education of their leaders. Whether attending a conference, hosting a workshop, or participating in an online course, this program provides financial support for initiatives that strengthen church leadership and ministry effectiveness.
Application Process & Requirements
HOW IT WORKS
The Church Equipping Grant Program offers up to 50% reimbursement for qualifying expenses, with a maximum of $2,000 per church per year. Our goal is to see at least 15 churches benefit from this opportunity in 2024. Applications are open now.
Examples of Approved Projects
- Send pastors or staff to attend a conference or workshop.
- Host a leadership training event for your church or region.
- Enroll in a ministry-related online course or educational program.
- Participate in a class or certification program related to church leadership or ministry.
GRANT REQUIREMENTS
- BCI Affiliation: The applicant must be a BCI-affiliated church.
- Focus on Equipping Leaders: Funds must be used for equipping, educating, or training church leaders.
- Pre-Approval: Submit a request for pre-approval before incurring expenses.
- Post-Project Report: Provide a brief report after the project, detailing how the funds were used.
- Maximum Reimbursement: Up to 50% of expenses, capped at $2,000 per church per year.
- Receipts Required: Submit valid receipts to receive reimbursement.
