After a horsemanship demonstration by a guest, Pastor Mike Stanley of Right Turn Cowboy Church in Adel, preached on the parallels. He explained the parallel between a rider connecting with their horse, and how God connects with people. He told the crowd of seventy people that God doesn’t force humans to come to Him, just as you can’t force a horse to come to you. Several other analogies between God and people – and people and horses, drove home Pastor Stanley’s message: bringing people to Christ may require a gentle hand.
