New Partnerships & Ministry Progress
– The Daniel Project Ministry Expands
BCI Executive Director Tim Lubinus recently returned to the States from a successful Daniel Project trip accompanied by a small team of BCI pastors, including Tim Trudeau from the Daniel Project board and Eric Warren from Cornerstone Church in Ames. Their journey focused on expanding the Daniel Project through forging new partnerships and identifying key leaders in Eastern European nations.
Forging Partnerships in Eastern Europe
In Romania, the team had a productive meeting with the current leader of the Baptist Union, building on discussions initiated in September. Efforts are underway to appoint a coordinator to mobilize Romanians for ministry in Central Asia through the Daniel Project.
In Bulgaria, although the church’s strength is less than in Romania, the team met with three pastors, recognizing the potential for individuals to cross cultural barriers to work in nearby Central Asian countries.
In Moldova, significant progress was made during the team’s visit, including hiring a coordinator for mobilization, connecting with a family scheduled to move to serve in Central Asia with the Daniel Project, and sponsoring church planters in Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan. They also met with a church planter working in Georgia.
Long-Term Influence Across Central Asia
In Central Asia, the team met with existing Daniel Project team members, some of whom joined in 2009, highlighting the project’s sustained impact.
Currently, the Daniel Project boasts 18 members overseas. And with that growth, our ministry expenses are increasing. Individuals and churches that are interested in supporting a new and strategic mission opportunity can donate through the Daniel Project website.
The most effective and exciting way to see the ministry in action is to participate in one of the many Daniel Project Vision Trips that happen throughout the year. Dates for the 2025 spring vision trip to Istanbul, Ephesus, and Moldova will be announced soon. Additionally, there may be new Vision Trips to Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan this fall to visit new Daniel Project Team Members. Any church leaders who are interested in joining these trips can reach out for more information.
Will you pray with us that the Lord will continue to bless the Daniel Project with fruitful and productive ministry to multiply disciples in hard to reach places? Will you consider joining a Daniel Project Vision Trip this year or next?
