December is a very interesting month in the life of The Salt Company. We begin the month finishing strong with connection groups, our Thursday night gathering, and a community-wide night of worship at the church. The night of worship is always a highlight of each semester because it is extended music and prayer. The band and technical teams work hard to facilitate an inviting atmosphere that allows students to focus on God. At this year’s worship night, two college students surrendered their lives to Christ. It truly was a night of glory and honor given to God as we celebrate his goodness over the last semester.

We also host a leader’s celebration to gather all of the student volunteers who lead connection groups and serve in other ways at the church. At this celebration, we reflected back on Salt’s Thursday gathering, fundraising for the church, serving in different aspects of our ministry, Gospel conversations all over campus, lives saved, hearts softened, and everything in between. This time of reflection and fun is such a sweet time for the staff and the students to come together and look back at God’s faithfulness and our areas of growth.

Now that the students have gone home for break, Staff is spending time resting, refueling, and planning for another semester working hard for God’s kingdom and reaching lost college students. We are excited to see our 480 students back in the auditorium on Thursday nights, our 365 students in connection groups each week, and our 136 student leaders sharing the gospel on campus each day.
