May is always an exciting time at the Salt Company as we commission and send our summer missions teams. It is so incredible to see how God raises up young men and women to go to some of the most difficult places on earth to share the good news of what Jesus has done with people who may have never heard his name before. This summer Salt DSM sent 5 students to south-east Asia to do just that.
All semester this team of 5 has been working hard to fundraise, prepare, and grow closer together. It has been such a joy for our staff to be able to see them grow in their excitement for the trip as it has drawn nearer. The team loaded into a van early in the morning on May 19th and headed to Chicago to board their international flight. There was a buzz around the car as all the students were growing more excited and nervous at the same time. But above all the thing that is most encouraging about this team is their hearts that are quick to pray that God would do big things. We know that we can do nothing apart from God and it is only by his grace that he would use us to accomplish his will. This team recognizes this reality and quickly comes before the Father to ask that he would move in big ways.
It has only been two weeks but the team has already seen tremendous fruit in their ministry and we ask that you would pray for them as well, that God would do amazing things in, through, and around them while they seek to make his name known where it is not.
