This is a state-wide event hosted by First Family Church in Ankeny and sponsored by the Baptist Convention of Iowa (BCI). Steven Smith has served as a pastor, professor, and in academic administration. He taught preaching for 20 years, and his passion is a theology of preaching and how biblical genres can shape the content and the delivery of a sermon. He is the author of expositional commentaries, and three books on preaching including Dying to Preach: Embracing the Cross in the Pulpit.
