The BCI Ministry Life Retreat, at Hotel Renovo in Des Moines, is an opportunity to be strengthened and encouraged in your ministry and enjoy fellowship with other pastors and wives from around the state.
MORE RETREAT/LESS CONFERENCE
The retreat this year we will emphasize retreating from the stress and busy-ness of ministry to be refreshed and encouraged. We will have shorter up front teaching times so that we can leave plenty of time for sharing ministry joys and challenges and discussing what’s going on in your church. Of course, there will still be plenty of time for sweet fellowship, delicious food, and free time to rest, relax, and reconnect with your spouse.
EVENT SPEAKER
DR. CHUCK KELLEY
Dr. Kelley served as president of New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary for 23 years and evangelism professor for more than 35 years.
Dr. Chuck Kelley was the 8th President of New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary, serving from 1996 to 2019. He continues to serve at NOBTS as President Emeritus and Distinguished Research Professor of Evangelism. He is founder and director of Innovative Evangelism as well as an itinerant preacher and evangelist.
Kelley received his B.A. from Baylor University and his M.Div. and Th.D. from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary. Before his election to the presidency in 1996, Dr. Kelley served as Director of the Leavell Center for Evangelism and Church Growth and Chairman of the Pastoral Ministries Division at the Seminary.
Dr. Kelley is known throughout the Southern Baptist Convention for his dynamic preaching and his expertise on evangelism and church growth.
Since his retirement as President of New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary on July 31, 2019, Dr. Kelley and his wife, Dr. Rhonda Kelley, are spending time in their new home in Fairhope, Alabama and in an apartment on the NOBTS campus as they both continue to work with their beloved Seminary and pursue their ministry callings.
