The main session will feature a large-group presentation from guest speaker Jon Nelson, who served on the SBC Sexual Abuse Task Force. He will address how to prevent sexual abuse in the church, why this conversation is essential, and offer practical steps churches can take to identify potential risks and protect the vulnerable. This training is primarily for First Family’s Next Gen Volunteers but is open to anyone from a BCI church: ministry leaders, volunteer coordinators, or those serving in Kids or Youth Ministry.

This could be a helpful opportunity for your team to discuss protecting kids and youth and determining some next steps and potential implementation in your own context.
