Experiencing Ministry Firsthand and Forging New Church Partnerships to Foster Growth
In recent months, the Daniel Project has surged forward in its objective to expand international ministry with near-culture workers. The addition of seven new workers marks a significant advancement, propelling the project towards its goal of sowing seeds in challenging environments.
A Vision Trip Experience
A team of pastors and church leaders from BCI affiliated churches joined the recent vision trip to two nations within the 10/40 window. In the group were Pastor Brent Minter of Keystone Church in Ankeny, Pastor Gared Shaffer in Wapello, Amie Chumbley, Director of Missions at Crossroads Church in Grimes and her daughter Zoey, along with BCI’s Tim Lubinus and Ben Bradley. During their 10-day journey, they had the opportunity to experience the heart of the Daniel Project, gaining insights from around two dozen local workers in gospel proclamation and church planting.
Highlights from the Journey
Highlights of the trip included engaging discussions with local international workers, where participants learned firsthand about The Daniel Project’s impact and witnessed the strategic vision of the International Mission Board (IMB). The opportunity to visit local house churches provided a profound experience, showcasing the resilience and strength of faith within the various communities.
Encounters with key ministry leaders gives great insight to lessons learned through many years of ministry and updates about the current status in the field. Chance meetings with former church teammates from Iowa highlighted the global reach and collaborative spirit of partnership behind all these gospel ministries, including the Daniel Project.
Opportunities for Collaboration
Looking to the future, the Daniel Project is actively seeking new churches to partner with us to expand our capacity to send more near-culture church leaders. We invite your church to consider supporting the project through regular giving via the Daniel Project website. Also, we invite BCI church leaders to see the work in person by joining the 2025 Vision Trip to Istanbul, Cappadocia, and Ephesus from April 21st through May 1st, 2025.
