At the close of “GO Month” focused on missions and outreach in October, First Family Church hosted a conference on multiplication called “The Matter of X.” The conference featured two international partners of First Family from France and Central Asia, as well as four church planters with the BCI: Carlos Jerez, Pastor of First Family Church Bondurant; Steve Christiansen, Pastor of LifeChange Church in Des Moines; Nick Reed, Pastor of CityPoint Church in Urbandale; and Jason Laxton, church planter in Albia. The sessions occurred over three nights and featured topics dealing with multiplication across the ocean, multiplication through subtraction, addition, and division, and multiplication at home. The conference concluded on Sunday morning with a great message on multiplication from NAMB President Kevin Ezell. This conference was just a small glimpse into the various ways the Church is keeping multiplication at its heart.
