Michael Collins looks like many other students at ISU. He has school spirit, he’s working through difficult classes, he likes to hang out with friends and meet new people. One thing that makes Michael different is the new life God gave him almost a year ago. Michael grew up with some Christian influence from his grandmother, but didn’t know Jesus personally. While in college he got involved in drugs and parties.
But then he got involved in something different: a Salt Company connection group. There he met other men who were pursuing Jesus and who challenged him to find what was really worth living for. The breaking point came when Michael asked the question “why can’t I have Jesus and keep weed in my life?” Over a few weeks God convicted him and brought him to a saving knowledge of Christ. Now Michael is a connection group leader for Salt, helping draw freshmen in and other young men to meet Jesus and be transformed like he has.
