I met Hillary 2 years ago in a class that we had together. We sat next to each other every day and studied together every once in a while outside of class. Our study sessions never really ended up consisting of that much studying. We always ended up talking about our lives. Hillary grew up in the church but had so many questions and had many misconceptions about the bible. I invited her to go to Salt Company with me, but she always managed to come up with some kind of excuse.
Finally, after 2 years of asking, Hillary came to Salt with me and has been coming every week this year. She attended the Salt Fall Retreat where a lot of her questions were answered and God revealed the areas of sin in her life that she had never seen before. Hillary and I prayed together one night that she would be forgiven of her sin and that God would become the Lord of her life. It was wonderful to hear Hillary repent and surrender her life to Jesus. Since the retreat Hillary has continued to be involved in Salt and has been a member of a weekly connection. She also has started reading her bible every day for the first time in her life. She continues to have a lot of questions, but she is growing more and more every day and I am thrilled to be able to be a part in that. Salt Company continues to impact lives in eternal ways and I can speak for Hillary and say that she will be eternally grateful.
