Ignite Youth Leadership Conference Recap

March 10 & 11 •  Grace Church • Des Moines, Iowa

What an amazing weekend of worship, Bible teaching and equipping for youth ministry all across the Midwest! Listen to Malinda a volunteer youth worker at a church in Iowa and her take on the conference: “The Strength of this conference is its detailed focus on the Scriptures. The expository nature of the messages was incredible and the focus on God’s Word in the breakout that could have focused on psychology was so helpful!”

Four weeks ago students and youth workers from all over the Midwest converged on Grace Church for an annual multi-site conference called, Ignite. The goal of the event is to equip youth ministries to do better ministry and the Baptist Convention of Iowa has partnered with the event for over 10 years. The weekend was full of three keynote sessions and over 30 breakout sessions to choose from. We asked Kristi Hepp (a youth worker at Sacred Mission Church) what her biggest take aways from the conference were over the last three years and this is what she had to say: “Ignite is so beneficial to our entire youth group. The practical things learned in the breakouts have helped so much in our first three years as a group. Our students get lit & want to come back and feel more equipped to lead….it’s amazing!”

If you missed the first two locations for the conference this year (Des Moines & Colorado Springs) and still want to come; you can still join us in Oswego, Illinois on April 14 & 15.
