Honestly, I have truly come to know Jesus in just this past year. Randomly choosing to attend the first freshmen event at the beginning of the year because of a flyer I received was an act of God, but I was nowhere near realizing that at the time. It seemed like a cool group of people who my youth director at home would really like, but little did I know that it would quickly become the community I now feel most comfortable in. The friends I have made, lessons I have been taught, and love that has grown in my heart for Jesus is indescribable. Because of the Salt Company I yearn to not only feel God’s love constantly, but also to spread it to as many other people as possible. I had no idea what I was missing out on in high school by only attending church events because it was the “right thing to do.” I want others, incoming freshmen especially, to have the chance to realize this as well, because it has changed my life in ways I could have never imagined.
