On Sunday, May 2nd, Multiply Church launched Sunday worship services in West Des Moines to reach their community with the gospel and multiply disciples of Christ.
The challenges of 2020 threw a wrench into the church planting plans of Multiply Church and Pastor Adam Bailey. Last Sunday they were able to launch Sunday worship services in West Des Moines. Pastor Adam said, “We are really excited to have the opportunity to finally bring our weekend services into our community. We have the joy to be meeting in a local elementary school. This was our original plan but, thanks to Covid-related restrictions, we weren’t able to find a school that was open to outside groups.”
Multiply Church Launches Sunday Services in West Des Moines
Fast forward a year later and Multiply Church is excited to re-launch their weekend services, now from within their own community. “We’ve just started the process of getting the word out in West Des Moines. We have been canvasing the neighborhoods and passing out flyers to cast a big net to see who God will bring to hear the gospel.”
Thanks to fellow BCI church Harvest Bible Chapel and Pastor Nick Lees, Multiply has been gathering for worship on Saturday nights for several months. Pastor Adam said they are grateful to have had a place to meet but that it has been challenging not to meet in the neighborhoods they desire to reach.
“It was a joy to be able to meet in West Des Moines and we are praying for God to bring many more from our neighborhoods to become part of a multiplying gospel community.”
