We’ve just built a new web-based research tool for use in our ministry across Iowa. I think it will be especially beneficial to understand our communities and to reach new ones.
The tool can help identify towns and cities by population, growth rate, community type, or even how reached a population segment is. Criteria can be combined in searches. For example, if someone was looking for the unreached zip codes of a specific county or for the faster growing cities of a specific region, he or she can enter this information into the research tool it will produce a list of population segments that fit the criteria.
Once the search is complete, the tool provides a link to a three-page research report for each population segment. These reports offer help for church leaders to understand the make-up and type of each community.
