Mikaela is a fifth year architect student at Iowa State University. She was adopted into an unbelieving family. Her entire life she was fairly apprehensive towards the gospel. She remembers in third grade telling a classmate that there was no way a God created everything and cared for them. Mikaela’s freshmen year she met Greta another architect student. When Greta came to college she had a strong faith in Jesus Christ and quickly became involved in Salt Company. For the first four years of architecture school, Greta pursued Mikaela with the love of Christ. Frequently shared the gospel and challenged her thoughts. Mikaela disagreed with Greta, but she still remained friends.
Five years later, Mikaela agreed to join Greta’s connection group and to attend Salt Company. She asked great questions and was engaged, but didn’t trust in Jesus. In February she decided to go to the Spring Conference. During the entire weekend she felt like something was tugging on her heart. The speakers taught through Romans 8. On the final morning of the conference, she realized the God she had been denying her whole life was a God that had been pursuing her. She accepted Christ. And is now sharing with her friends and family who don’t know Jesus! She’s getting baptized on February 25.
