The annual meeting of the retired pastors and wives was held on Feb 27 in Des Moines. High points of current ministries were reported by many. It is very evident that these men may be retired as pastors of churches, but they are very active in other ministries and roles. All were appreciative of Claude McFerrin’s work to arrange the retired pastor’s meetings over the last ten years. Dennis Bradley announced that in answer to prayer he has accepted a new front-line ministry as chaplain of the Fort Des Moines Correctional Facility.
Those in attendance included, Claude and Irene McFerron, David and Marilyn Brown, Lewis and Janelle Markwood, Jack & Kathy Comer, Tom and Linda Law, Herb and Alice Barrett, Tom Nesbitt, Jack Owens, Max Carmichael, Charles Dill and Dennis Bradley.
