Congratulations to Sacred Mission Church who held their first worship service last Sunday, September 1. The service was held at Collins Elementary School in Collins, Iowa which is about 35 minutes northeast of Des Moines. The kickoff service had around 150 people in attendance which includes around 60 core members and many guests from Oklahoma and around Iowa.

Fall is a critical time for church planting and we are in the midst of seeing a number of churches being planted across our state. Sacred Mission is the second of several rural church plants we are anticipating this fall.

ABOUT SACRED MISSION

Sacred Mission was planted by church planters Tim and Patty Kimberley. The Kimberleys were sent by Frontline Church in Oklahoma City to engage communities in rural Iowa where Pastor Tim grew up. After receiving a strong endorsement through the Send Network Assessment process, Tim and Patty recruited a strong team from their church in Oklahoma and began gathering others around Collins through monthly trips to Iowa.
