This summer our team had the opportunity to partner with long term efforts in SE Asia to share the Gospel! We had the opportunity to meet students on campus and develop relationships with the students we met. Our last week(ish) was a whirlwind! We had some of the best Gospel
conversations during that time! We met with a few friends for dinner one night and got to spiritual topics really quickly. They didn’t know much about Christianity and were super curious – literally leaning in, asking questions, and eager to hear what we had to say! We had the joy of sharing with them the entire Gospel, talk about the freedom from the law that we have in Christ, and share about what Easter means! Their horror when we shared about the undeserved criminal’s death that Jesus died for us on the cross, and their amazement when we shared that Jesus didn’t stay dead, but that He rose again, was absolutely beautiful! We also got to talk with them about the Trinity and that Jesus is not just a good teacher or prophet, but the Son of God (a huge stumbling block for Muslims who are learning about Christianity), plus we got to explain the difference between the insufficient system of sacrifices in the Old Testament and how it led to Jesus’ sacrifice in the New Testament, once for all, so that we could come before God blameless, our sins fully forgiven and covered! We got to introduce those friends to the long-term team, so please pray that the workers over there will be able to meet up with and continue having Gospel conversations with these sweet friends that will lead to hearts turned to Jesus!
