We are excited to announce that Dr. Jeff Iorg, President and CEO of the Executive Committee of the Southern Baptist Convention, will be our guest speaker at the 2025 BCI Annual Meeting on November 7th–8th at Walnut Creek Church Downtown in Des Moines. This is a unique opportunity for Iowa pastors and church leaders to hear directly from one of the SBC’s most influential leaders.
Dr. Jeff Iorg: “Southern Baptists Are a Force for Good”
After being elected to the role, Dr. Iorg shared a powerful message titled “Southern Baptists Are a Force for Good.” In his address, he reminded us of the transformative role Southern Baptists have played in advancing the gospel, shaping future leaders, and serving communities through education, social care, generosity, and global missions.
Even in a time of cultural division and internal challenges, Dr. Iorg emphasized that cooperation remains the SBC’s greatest strength. By working together, Southern Baptists accomplish far more for the Kingdom than any single church could achieve alone. From supporting 7,800 children in foster care to educating 229,000 students in SBC institutions, and from planting churches to sending missionaries around the globe, Southern Baptists are making a lasting impact.
