Have you noticed? The face of North America is changing! In fact, the United States has become a modern crossroads of peoples from the entire globe. This is great news when it comes to spreading the gospel to all peoples. You have the opportunity to touch the world because the world is coming to you!
For years, IMB and other organizations have encouraged churches and individuals to go overseas to unreached people and places to share the Gospel with the billions who have yet to hear.
That call is still important but there’s more! Someone needs to go the airport and welcome the planes filled with nations that God is sending to our cities and communities!
The people group God is calling you to disciple might not just live in their homeland — they could be your neighbor or a student at your school!
Yes, we must continue to go to unreached people and places globally, but we shouldn’t miss the opportunities the Father is giving us to reach the nations living among us.
As we love and disciple immigrants, refugees and international students, they will share the gospel where we’ve not been able to go — literally becoming a gateway for spreading the gospel into their homelands.
So, during this scavenger hunt, take a more in-depth look around to see if God has sent one of these people groups to your town or neighborhood. Ask yourself, “Why are they here?” It might be so they can come to know Jesus!
Download the Cultural Immersion Scavenger Hunt and take your youth or small group on an adventure to meet the nations here on our doorsteps.
