As Salt Company approached the end of 2013, we found ourselves waiting for God to provide. Over the course of the year, the ministry had continued to grow and expand. Therefore, our financial needs were also being stretched. In order to finish the year strong and to meet our budget, we were asking God to provide $60,000 by the end of December.
Because we are a ministry that depends on the support of many generous alumni and friends, it has become increasingly important to involve more people in playing a critical role for Salt Company on a financial level. Therefore, one of the ways we decided to try to meet our financial needs was by involving the students of Salt Company. We love our students, and we were confident that they would choose to take part in what we were asking of them for the first time ever – to give $20 on our Student Give Night.
To our utter amazement, students went far above and beyond anything we were asking or imagining. In fact, as the final count came in we could only shake our heads at their abundant generosity. In one night, Salt Company students gave $25,000 to this ministry. Without a doubt, we have the best students anyone could ask for. God is good to us!
