A Career In Ministry
Prior to serving at BCI, Chris pastored at two BCI churches, Chris served at Grace Church in Des Moines from 1991 to 2010, and at First Family Church in Ankeny from 2010 to 2019. In 2018, Tim Lubinus approached Chris about serving at the Baptist Convention of Iowa, he began his role as the Associate Director in 2019. His role has been overseeing support staff, managing the business administration side of the convention, as well as many roles working directly with pastors and church leaders in ministries focused on Multiplying Disciples.
Executive Director Tim Lubinus said, “I’m grateful for Chris’ role as Associate Director and his investment in the many pastors. He had an essential role in developing BCI’s structure and helping us operate efficiently. He is a gifted leader and pastor is great at providing support and coaching for pastors. We will certainly miss him in his role as Associate Director but we are grateful that will continue to be involved in ministry in Iowa through managing BCI finances and continuing to coach some pastors in the Des Moines area.
Thank You, Chris!
On behalf of the BCI Executive Board and staff team, we want to thank Chris for his faithful service over the last 4 years. When asked about what he will miss the most about his current BCI role, Chris said, “I will miss the relationships with pastors and BCI staff, serving alongside them to bring the gospel to Iowa. I will miss having daily interactions with the godly servants who are pastoring our churches.” We are grateful for your past contribution and ongoing investment in Iowa churches! God bless!
