Ebenezer (Eb) Chelliah is a unique gift to Salt Company. First, Ebenezer is unique because of his gifting. Eb has been involved for the past couple years with the Salt Company worship team and has even written a song (You Are) featured on our latest Anthem CD. Eb is also unique in his background; Ebenezer was born in India and raised primarily in Dubai. This makes Eb’s song-writing even more amazing as you considered that he is composing poetic songs in his third language! But this year, in addition to using his unique gifts in our worship ministry, Ebenezer decided to step into leading a connection group. God has used Ebenezer’s radical devotion to Christ to spur the guys in his group to more passionately pursue Christ. This December Ebenezer will be graduating and leaving some huge shoes to fill in our ministry.
Another incredible example of God’s faithfulness has been the connection group led by Joseph Harper and Skyler Marquis. While meeting in the dorms on campus, their group has consistently reached out to a growing group of freshmen guys. Their group has had the privilege of seeing God bring several of these young men to faith in Christ this semester. Joseph and Skyler have set the pace for discipleship by continuing to meet with these new believers and encourage them to follow Christ day to day.
Many more of our leaders could be spotlighted for the very unique ways God is using them. I truly do thank God each time I think of our leaders and I pray for more of His blessing on the work of Salt Company at ISU.
