Recently at Salt Company a freshman, Sam, came to a Thursday night gathering by himself, knowing no one else in the crowd. He had never been to Salt before, but knew he wanted change in his life. This was the only place he thought to go. As he walked in the main doors, one of our staff members met him and told him more about what Salt is all about. They sat together during the service, and the message that night was on the glory of Christ.
After the message, the staff member sat down with Sam to learn more about why he had come that night and what was going on in his life. Sam began to explain what he had been going through and the struggles of his life. He opened up about how it had been over a year since he had spent a weekend sober, and just a week previous had spent the night in jail. The staff member was able to share the good news of Jesus and the freedom from the bondage of sin that He offers. Sam heard the message of the gospel and decided to surrender his life to Jesus that night. Since then, he has joined a Bible study and has been growing in his relationship with Christ. As summer approaches, Sam is excited to continue in Bible study and get more involved with Salt.
