Since January 2022, BCI has sent 75% of all contributed funds to the SBC Cooperative Program

Did you know that 75% of every dollar that is contributed to BCI is passed along to support gospel-centered ministry at the highest level of the Southern Baptist Convention? Here’s how it works: Generous churches like yours contribute funds to the state convention to collectively support gospel ministry in our state and around the world. BCI uses a portion for ministry and events in Iowa and sends the rest to support the various SBC national entities.

Giving 75% to SBC for over a year

Over a year ago, messengers at the 2021 BCI Annual Meeting voted to increase Cooperative Program giving to 75%. Since then, BCI has sent 75% of all contributed funds to support SBC national ministries. Here’s the breakdown of how the funds are distributed.

  • 75% of contributed funds go to the SBC Cooperative Program
  • 25% of contributed funds are used for BCI Ministry & Operations

A vision-fueled step of faith

This has been a step of faith for our state convention and we have been so encouraged to see how God has blessed this decision. It was also a vision-fueled decision and we are eager to see how this will continue to multiply the gospel impact of our partnership of churches.

We are grateful for the generosity of our churches and we invite you to give generously to BCI and the Cooperative Program. Check out the motion graphic video for more details on how BCI contributes to the Cooperative Program.
