Praise God for an amazing TSC Spring Retreat weekend with 600 students February 22-24 at the Embassy Suites in Des Moines.
Our Spring Retreat theme was simply, “You Are the Salt of the Earth.” The aim was to establish a ministry culture where our vision and mission expand beyond ISU and America and to direct the heart of every attendee to our great, glorious, and global God. The retreat wasn’t about missions, but a God who is about missions and calls every one of us to set aside everything to join Him as the Salt of the Earth (as our name and Matthew 5:13 declare). God moved in power this weekend as we encountered the greatness of God, again tasted His immense love, and were captivated by His call for our lives to be “The Salt of the Earth.” With God’s heart for all peoples clearly displayed, the story of how God uses college students to change the world was told, and the status of the world is clear- our students will never be able to look at a world map the same way again.
Join us in celebrating numerous new followers of Christ, many re-energized believers, and a movement within our ministry to look beyond our walls to the World. Continue to pray for long-term fruit and for a culture of global ministry zeal to be engrained into the DNA of TSC.
