By Joe Quick, Executive Director of the Friendship Center
The Friendship Center recently set an attendance record for Food Pantry night with 49 individuals coming to receive a blessing provided by donations to the Center. One woman, with two small kids, walked an hour to attend and thankfully one of our volunteers gave her family a ride home.
Last week at the conclusion of basketball camp 12 kids came forward to trust Christ as their savior! We have their contact information, gave them a bible and will be making an effort to disciple each of them and see where God leads. Pray for Malachi, Arden, Kanoah, Erni, Robbie, Jaivon, Tyion, Jeremy, Alex, Coleton, Kweli, and Gabbi.
I cannot thank you enough for supporting the center and allowing this ministry to continue to grow.
Editor’s note: The Friendship Center is sustained financially through the support of a number of local church partnerships as well as a multitude of individual donors. The Baptist Convention of Iowa remains a strong partner with the Friendship Center. Please consider joining the efforts of the Center by contributing financially. You can learn more about supporting the Friendship Center either individually or through your church and how you can volunteer by going to friendshipbaptistcenter.org/how-to-help.
